The Abatros C.III was one of the best known and best category 'C' aircraft of the German Imperial Air Forces during the First World War.
The C.III served as a reconnaissance, observation, gun platform and bomber from 1916.
Later, even more powerful machines appeared and production continued, with new machines being used for training.
Thus the Albatros flew until the end of the war and beyond.
It served in the air forces of Poland, Latvia and Lithuania.
