French Medium Tank Somua S35

The SOMUA S35 was developed from the mid-1930s as a cavalry tank and used a series of castings to increase production efficiency.
With a 47mm cannon and a 190 hp V8 gasoline engine that accelerated it to 40 km/h, the SOMUA S35 was a very effective combat vehicle.
The approximately 430 examples produced between 1936 and June 1940 proved to be a worthy opponent for the German forces during the battles in Belgium and northern France.
Thanks to its balanced performance, it was considered the best tank France had at its disposal at the beginning of World War II.
