M60A3 w/ M9 Bulldozer

In order to adapt the M60A1 to the threat posed by the then latest generation of Soviet battle tanks, it was decided to modernize it extensively.
The cross-section rangefinder was replaced by a laser rangefinder.
The optics of the laser rangefinder also served as an observation device for the commander.
The electromechanical computer was replaced by an electronic one.
This also included the crosswind sensor on the roof.
The barrel was given a heat protection cover.
Smoke cups were attached to both sides of the turret.
The coaxial machine gun was now of the M240 type.
Some of the tanks were equipped with an M9 dozer blade for engineering tasks.
