The stylish body with long nose and short tail was combined with a 2-litre in-line 6 cylinder engine and sprung by a 4 wheel independent suspension with struts.
The 240Z was an export version with a 2.4-litre engine, which was also introduced to the Japanese market in November 1971 due to excellent racing performance.
The top-of-the-range version of the car was the 240ZG, whose shape was accentuated by the long "G-nose" and GRP mudguards.
A wealth of tuning parts were available for owners who wanted to improve the car's performance and put their individual stamp on this legendary car.
