The Pz.Kpfw.IV was in service throughout World War II and served the German army faithfully.
The Ausf. F was the last variant to use a short-barreled gun: the L/24 7.5cm KwK37.
It was also fitted with wider tracks that provided better traction.
470 Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf .F were produced between May 1941 and February 1942 and saw service mainly on the Eastern Front and in North Africa, where they took on enemy tanks such as the Soviet KV tanks and the British Matilda.
