The 8.8cm Flak 18/36/37/41 was a German anti-aircraft gun developed in the 1930s.
It was one of the most famous German weapons during World War II and was used on all fronts.
The Flak 18 was mounted on a cruciform carriage.
An easy-to-use semi-automatic loading system ejected fired shells and allowed reloading by simply tracking a new shell.
This resulted in firing rates of 15 to 20 rounds per minute.
High-explosive and armor-piercing ammunition could also be used for anti-tank defense.
