The AEC Matador was a heavy off-road truck and medium artillery tractor built for British forces during World War II.
In the British Army it was used to tow the 7.2 inch howitzer, 5.5 inch gun and 3.7 inch QF anti-aircraft gun.
The Matador proved to be a general purpose vehicle and was also used in other roles.
About 9000 vehicles were built.
Some were also used by the Royal Air Force.
