It was also used in post-WWII conflicts, including the Korean War.
The French also used it in the war in Algeria and in the First Indochina War.
In British service it was named Chaffee after US Army General Adna R. Chaffee Jr.
Ten M24s used by the French as mobile artillery at the Battle of Dien Bien Phu.
