The heavy tank destroyer Ferdinand was armed with a powerful 8.8cm L/71 gun that could take out T-34 tanks at a distance of 2000 m.
The vehicle was protected by armor up to 200mm thick and equipped with advanced features such as a hybrid drive.
On May 8, 1943, this last heavy tank destroyer rolled off the assembly line. This event was documented by a whole series of very good photos.
