The M4 Sherman medium tank was the main tank of the United States during the Second World War.
It was mass produced and formed the backbone of the United States' armoured forces at the time.
Several versions were produced.
Production of the M4A3E8 versions began in late 1944.
The M4A3E8, nicknamed the "Easy Eight", received several upgrades that improved the tank's effectiveness.
The vehicle was equipped with the 76mm M1 high velocity gun and a new horizontal suspension system (HVSS) that provided smoother driving stability and increased speed.
The "Easy Eight" took an active part in the final phase of the Second World War and in the Korean War alongside the M26 Pershing and the M46 Patton.
