German Heavy Tank Destroyer "Elefant" Sd.Kfz.184

TAMIYA

The vehicle was protected by armor up to 200mm thick and equipped with advanced features such as a hybrid drive.
It had its roots in the Porsche-designed Ferdinand, which first saw action in combat during the Battle of Kursk in 1943.
Lessons learned from this battle led to modifications including the addition of a commander's cupola, infantry defense machine gun and better tracks.
The improved vehicles received the new designation Elefant in February 1944.
Elephants were used in Italy and on the Eastern Front, where they fought their way against Allied forces until the final skirmishes of the war.
