The AH-64 Apache is an American attack helicopter with twin turboshaft engines, tailwheel landing gear and a tandem cockpit for a crew of two. It features a nose-mounted sensor unit for target acquisition and night vision systems, and is armed with a 30mm M230 chaingun and typically a mix of AGM-114 Hellfire missiles and Hydra 70 unguided missiles.

The AH-64D Apache Longbow is equipped with a glass cockpit and advanced sensors, the most notable of which are the AN/APG-78 Longbow millimeter-wave fire control radar (FCR) and radar frequency interferometer (RFI). These are housed in a dome above the main rotor.
