CMP (Canadian Military Pattern) trucks were trucks manufactured in large numbers in Canada by Chevrolet and Ford to British specifications, intended for use by Commonwealth armies and their allies. They were available in different load classes such as 8 cwt (400 kg), 15 cwt (760 kg), 30 cwt (1,525 kg) and 60 cwt (3,050 kg). Three different driver's cabs were used, Cab 11, Cab 12 and Cab 13, which differed slightly depending on the manufacturer. Cab 13 was the final form with the forward-sloping windshields to avoid upward reflection of light to reduce detection by aircraft. The CMP C60L was a four-wheel drive truck with a loading capacity of approximately 3,050 kg (60 cwt). It was available in different versions - loading platform with tarpaulin and bow, crane body, tank and box bodies. It was used in almost all theaters of war in World War II and was also used and modified by the Axis powers as a captured vehicle.
