The Diamond T 96 series was developed on behalf of the US Army between 1939 and 1941.
Originally intended as an artillery tractor, there were also other versions such as transport, towing and dump trucks. The T 968 was a 3.6 ton all-wheel transport truck with 8.3 tonnes.
With the 131 hp engine it could accelerate up to 60 km/h and travel up to 282 kilometers with a tank of 230 liters. Between 1940 and 1945, over 30,000 trucks of the numerous versions were produced.
