The AMMO Hot Dog is a portable, 350W, 2-Speed, variable temperature (140o C and 380o C / 384 and 716 F) heat gun for scale modelling and crafts, providing 120 l/minute air volume, and equipped with a 1.5 m (5 ft) power cord (UE plug).

The pencil-like design makes this heat tool great for small jobs and fits comfortably in the user’s hand. A built-in heat sink stabilizes the internal temperature for long-lasting operation and durability. Other features are the anti-scald protection nozzle, collapsible wire stand that allows for convenient hands-free operation, overheating protection. If the temperature is too high, it will automatically shut off. After cooling for 10 minutes, you can continue using the heat gun. The lightweight compact & completely silent design also features rubberized grip coating to facilitate handling while avoiding potential risks during use.

This tool provides many modelling purposes, the HOT DOG heat gun can be used to:

• speed up paint drying time, providing you with more time to work on your kits. Use the low setting (I) and keep the heat gun about 15 cm (6 in) from the surface, while moving the piece and rotating it constantly to avoid deforming the model and drying it evenly.
• facilitate decals conforming to the model´s surface.
• fixing warped resin and styrene parts.
• bursting the air bubbles that tend to appear when pouring clear epoxy and polyester resins to simulate water in small scenes and dioramas.

This versatile tool has many other uses, including curing embossing powders, shrink wrap, vinyl wrap, removing paint, jewellery making, candle making, drying paint, glue and polymer clay and many more arts & crafts and DIY applications.

Please note that the heat gun generates high heat and care should be taken when using it to avoid burns.
