M114 Early & Late w/ Interior 2in1

The M114 was developed in the 1960s to serve as a Command & Reconnaissance Vehicle (CRV) alongside the M113. Like its big brother, the M114 was made of aluminum so that it was lightweight and therefore air-transportable and suitable for amphibious use. With its 160 hp (approx. 118 kW) engine, it reached a top speed of approx. 58 km/h (36 mph).
The three-man crew had a cal. 50 M2 MG at their disposal. This could be operated from the inside of the A1 even with the hatch closed. An M60 MG could be operated from the outside from the second roof hatch.
The M114 seemed ideal for use in Vietnam, but since it could hardly cope with difficult terrain and was mechanically unreliable, it was withdrawn from Vietnam in late 1964, but still served with the U.S. until 1979. Troops in Korea, USA and Europe.
Only the South Vietnamese ARVN used these in their homeland during the war.
