The T-34 was a Soviet-made medium tank. It was built from 1940 to 1958 and used by the Red Army mainly in the German-Soviet War.
Machine-building plant No. 183 was relocated from the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv to Nizhny Tagil in the Urals.
After a merger with the Uralvagonzavod plant, the Ural Tank Factory No. 183 was created there.
The People's Volunteer Army was an armed expeditionary corps deployed by the People's Republic of China during the Korean War.
The army was officially made up of "volunteers" and not part of the People's Liberation Army in order to avoid an official war with United Nations troops.
The People's Volunteer Army invaded Korea on 19 October 1950 and was stationed in Korea until October 1958.
