Thanks to propaganda, no German tank commander is better known than Hauptsturmführer Michael Wittmann.
One of his most famous battles took place on June 13, 1944 in the village of Villers-Bocage in Normandy, just a week after D-Day.
The box contains the very last Tiger I - a late production variant - which Wittmann commanded during the fighting at Cintheaux in Normandy in 1944.
Wittmann had a command tank with the turret number “007”.
