Yakovlev Yak-3 "Normandie-Niemen" HI-TECH"

The Yak-3 was a light, highly maneuverable fighter aircraft built in the Soviet Union.
This can be described as the best of the Eastern Front.
It was flown not only by Soviet fighter pilots, but also by those flying with the Normandy-Niemen Regiment.
This French unit fought on the Eastern Front from 1944 until the end of the war and it was the Yak-3 type that they used and continued to use even after the war when the French pilots returned home.
And they fought successfully, as can be seen from the numerous victory markings painted behind the cockpits of their machines.
