Hawker Tempest Mk. V "Clostermann"

Einloggen und Bewertung schreiben
During World War II, opposing sides were constantly competing with each other to keep up with the latest technological developments.
This led to increasingly more powerful and effective fighter aircraft.
In 1941, the new German Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighter entered service, and the British hastily developed the Spitfire Mk.V into the Mk.IX with a better engine and also introduced a new type called the Hawker Typhoon Mk.I.
The introduction of the Typhoon brought problems, and as it soon became clear that the Typhoon did not meet its requirements, Hawker began designing an improved version, which, due to the numerous changes, was eventually given a new name: Tempest.
It became one of the best fighter aircraft of World War II.
