This is the D variant of the well-known Corsair from the Second World War.
This fighter-bomber could carry drop tanks at new attachment points under the wing root and up to 8 missiles under the outer wing.
It provided valuable air support to ground forces during landings in the Philippines and Okinawa and was also used in Korea after World War II.

- The cockpit canopy was modified during production to improve visibility
- The propeller blades were thicker at the base
- Attachment points under the wing root allowed the carrying of bombs and drop tanks
- The tail wheel cover had a new fairing to improve aerodynamics
- The outer wing sections had mounts for a total of eight missiles
- The window in the cockpit floor was removed
