In 1945, a  staff of the Panzer Lehrdivision under the leadership of Major Schulze was located in the Oeberke camp near Fallingbostel.
At the beginning of April 1945, he formed a "Kampfgruppe Schulze" from the remaining battle tanks of the Panzer Troop School in Bergen.
With these tanks, he was to make his way to the trapped units in the Ruhrkessel.
The combat group consisted of five Panthers under the command of the Major and six Tigers I under the command of First Lieutenant Fehrmann.
The tanks were each marked with a capital "F" and the numbers "01"-"05" and "13".
Most of the tanks were shot down on the Weser in the defensive fight against British units.
One of the Tiger I reached the Deister ridge and had to be abandoned due to the advancing Americans and lack of fuel.
The last remaining Tiger "F01" makes it to Fallingbostel, is repaired there and is able to shoot down several British vehicles near Essel, but is then destroyed by British Comet tanks.
