The Su-27UB is a two-seat supersonic combat trainer of the Russian Air Force based on the SU-27 "Flanker".
The development of this aircraft began in the late 1970s by the Sukhoi Design Bureau.
It can perform all combat missions like the single-seat SU-27.
The nose of the fuselage has been changed to a tandem seat cockpit and the wings and tail units also have an adapted shape.
The Su-27UB is armed with a 30 mm cannon and various missiles at 10 different fixed points.
